Basic Care

1. Light
Place Cactus Island Gardens in bright filtered to direct light, preferably morning sun with afternoon shade.

2. Water
Allow your Cactus Island Garden to dry between waterings. Check soil for dryness by pushing your finger or toothpick into the soil. If the soil or toothpick feels cool or damp, there is still moisture, so do not water.

3. Location
Cacti and succulents grown indoors benefit from a day outside where they can enjoy sun and air circulation. If the pot is inside, place container in a bright sunny area where air circulation is present–next to an open window is perfect.

If your room does not have any sunlight and is fairly dark, place your garden indoors for a maximum of 3-4 days. Then take it outside for 2-3 days. Keeping the Cactus Island Garden indoors too long without sun may cause the plants to grow rapidly or stay moist too long. This can lead to a premature demise from root rot.

When placing your Cactus Island Garden on any surface, make sure the underside of your Cactus Island Garden container is dry and moist-free. This will prevent damage on your surface.

4. Arrangements with Candles
Never leave candles unattended. Always trim the candle wick ΒΌ of an inch high, and never allow any plants to grow over the candles.

5. Arrangements with Tumbled Glass
Arrangements with tumbled or crushed glass may sometimes have sharp edges. Please keep away from children and handle with caution.
